Pictures from Mississippi

We left our mark at Camp Victor in Mississippi. This is a drawing we did on the wall where we stayed. We also all signed a t-shirt and left it there.

Here are some more pictures from the team that went to Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It is an incredible experience to go and serve in a devastated area. We have two more teams getting ready to leave later this month and early in June. One of our purposes in life is to help and serve other people. This trip helped me get the focus off of me and my problems and onto helping others. I have tried to bring that attitude back to Ohio. We currently have seven local projects that need volunteers and resources to help people in our own communities. Everything from spring clean up, roofing, painting, general repairs, plumbing and building a ramp. As a church we can make a difference in peoples lives by using our gifts and talents and time to help each other.
There are also many great organizations like, Harbor House, Hospice, PAL mission, Friends of the Homeless, Habitat for Humanity, Latin American Center, Journey’s End and the Uhrichsville food bank, where we can serve and help individuals and families in our community. I encourage you to get involved in this movement of serving.

These pictures are of the outside of Camp Victor. Local artists came and did murals on the side of the building. That theme is carried over to the inside with many drawings and names on the walls.
